I’ve noticed recently…. well… last year when i went to japan… i saw… RARE times… when girls would sit in this style…. now… i’m seeing this posture in japan all over japanese fashion magazines… particularly cult styles… this means… it’s potentially catching on and will take effect in another year in japan.. so… maybe 10 years in america?
Not sure… what to make of this… japan has a history of oppressing feminism… till 20 years ago. since then there have CONSTANTLY been movements to liberate the female indipendence…. and cast women in a stronger more sexually empowering side…. this…. i guess… goes along those lines. i don’t need to make comments on the pose… make of it what you will… but it’s a BIG change

to the “new” squatting position….
amidst this change… i STILL do not see the culture shifting to FINALLY supporting people to just sit on the ground. they retian their belief that it’s dirty and just disgusting (like how in USA it’s STILL not ok for someone to spit while walking with friends… some guys do… but everyone accepts it as unattractive regardless).
