- TV 4K
- New apple TV has 4k + HDR (using HDR 10 – industry standard)
- Live sports coming to Apple TV plus new networks
- New box. Looks same as old.
- Iphone 8 / Plus – orders start sept 15 / available sept 22
- Glass on front and back
- New louder speakers and bass (stereo)
- New chip – faster / better battery
- Optimized for graphics processing and machine learning
- Uses core machine learning framework
- Faster autofocus for photography, processing/ image and noise reduction
- Camera changes
- 12 MP new sensor
- 80% more light sensitivity
- more dynamic range (hdr photos)
- Plus has 2 new sensors for optical image stabilization
- Portrait mode lighting
- Basically removes need for studio lighting
- AR changes
- now you can use in realtime events. Sporting events see stats.
- Wireless charging
- Wireless charging will use QI wireless standards… basically already implemented widely and can be used without proprietary chargers.
- Iphone X – preorders start – 10/27 – available 11/3
- Full screen. No bezel, no home button
- HDR built into screen for video (hdr 10)
- Face ID – unlocking the phone
- Works in dark
- 30,000 dots project to your face
- uses a custom chip for processing neural engine
- works with glasses, beard, hat, growing hair…. pictures apparently cannot trick it. nor can makeup/masks…. has to be 3D and matching you about 95% of your face.

- Apple matt for charging (airpower) – still beta – 2018 release
- Basically now you can have a single matt to just charge all your devices, apple watch, phone, airpods….
