This flight is insanely long! 15 hours in a small coach seat… On the red eye …. No sleep…. Followed by a layover where I stand like a zombie teetering back and forth in a line in Guangzhou china hoping the security clearance guy doesn’t drill me on my vitamins, medications, male enhancement whatnots, condoms, and why I only have one pair of clothes to change into…. All so I can get into another plane and fly for another 5 hours.
On another front… I took southern china airlines….. I was impressed with how large the cabin was, and the seats had more legroom than expected. What I was not impressed with was how the seats felt like wooden benches, and how none of the bathrooms had any paper towels… Only tissues. How was the service? Well….inexperienced. The staff never smiled, never said you’re welcome, and one flight attendant actually shooed to get back to my seat like a school boy in the hallway during class hours.
On… And the menu options were “western” and “Chinese”. That was the actual menu item. At least they didn’t microwave “hungry man” meals.
