The most common mistake…

The biggest mistake i see people making… and i am by no means any less guilty of this… is believing in the “grass is greener on the other side” crock.

Take a look at the immigrants that move to other countries… only to be appaled by the poverty. Because Americans see a mexican having a life here, they think his life is better!?!?! NO. I know many third world country people, living in 1st world nations… and trust me… their life is NOT better. Its also not worse. its just different. new problems, new issues.

A college educated mexican, will make a great living in the USA. You know what they could do there? also a GREAT living. In china, as of 2007… a college educated male can get roughly $30,000 a year with 2 years experience. This is in a country where the average is barely $1,000 a year!!! compare that to an average $45,000 an american makes, in a country where the average is half that. by ratio, the chinese guy is better off….

For my example… In romania i was making $1,000 a month. And I had a 3 bedroom apartment, a maid, personal driver, body guards… and ate at restaurants every day. IN america… i make around $60,000 now… and can barely afford a studio and am raking up debt left and right…
Trust me, the grass is NOT greener. it’s dark, cold, and of poor quality…

I was truly one of believer in “grass is greener on the other side” till I moved to America. For me, even water seemed to be sweeter than in Japan. Now I realize that it is bitter actually. America is a country of freedom?? For foreigners, that is not true at all… everything has limitation, everything is controlled. I am still struggling, where am I going…? When am I accepted by this country as just a human, not a foreigner?
